Join us for a meaningful day trip north of Phoenix as we hike the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial Trail and visit the Shrine of St. Joseph of the Mountains in Yarnell, Arizona. This is not just a hike, but a day of reflection, connection, and honoring the courage and sacrifice of the nineteen Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013.
The Latin phrase Esse Quam Videri — “To be rather than to seem.” — was the guiding creed of the Granite Mountain Hotshots. They lived that motto through their work, their commitment to one another, and ultimately through their sacrifice.
